I haven’t always been a fan of the move for Nebraska to the Big Ten. Nebraskans don’t know or understand our traditions. I know they will respect them…but now that they are officially a conference member, the talking heads of radio are spouting off about the Big Ten like they have always been members of our conference.
I know that these people are not your average day fans that are learning and respecting the Big Ten schools and traditions. It is still annoying!
Where do you want to visit before you die?
Last Christmas, my mom got me a day to day calendar made by the writers of 1,000 places to see before you die. I’ve been saving the ones that seem interesting to me. But what if it is really the ones I am not so keen on seeing, the ones I toss aside, that are really the ones worth seeing?
I hope you enjoy your time in our conference and that your fans remember that they are the new kids on the block, so not to get too full of themselves.
I hope you learn that our traditions are just as important to our conference as Texas was to the Big 12. And don’t mind Wisconsin…they are just obnoxious, to everyone!
I work in a very public image type of a job. I live in a different town than CB but am at his house quite a bit. We are getting married next July….I would love to move in and not spend what I spend on rent, but save it towards paying off student loans, etc., so I can be rid of those as soon as possible.
I would love to know that no one would notice that I’ve moved to town…but I know some people will. Do I care? Yes, I do. I want to be a good influence on their children’s lives and feel that I am held to a higher standard than others. Is that the case, probably not.
How do I move past this feeling and really do what I want?
It is finally starting to feel like summer…don’t get me wrong, I’ve enjoyed the cooler weather and the nice spring like days (when it wasn’t raining), but it is almost JULY!
When did that happen?
We are finally getting a break from the rain and hopefully it does let those who are flooded out dry out and get back on their feet a little. I am sure that the weather so far this summer will turn around just in time for fair- that week seems to be hotter than any other, no matter what!
We all workout right before we are going to something important…a wedding, a vacation, a new job, etc.. For the most part after the event is over or we get back, we stop working out and eating as well as before.
Why is that?
Is it because while we are on vacation we forget about eating good and working out? Is it because we don’t have a goal to work towards anymore?
For me I think it is both. I recently joined AnyTime Fitness and I really enjoy it. You can workout any time you want, the gym is yours to use. I worked out, tracked what I ate and was really good about it until I went on vacation. Now that M and I are getting married, one would think I would be right back to eating right and working out…but I’m not. Is it because the wedding is so far away? Is it because I am stressed with work right now…I thought working out was supposed to help that?
